Poems I Wrote While I Should’ve Been Paying Attention In Class

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Jefferson chapter.

You are still beautiful, even in the dark

As the moonlight kisses your face

The deep and dark shadows covering parts

You are beautiful in the dark

———————————————————————————————————–

I wonder if my name runs across your brain

Like yours does when I’m trying to sit in class

And learn about the psychology of our creativity

But all I can think about is your freckles

And how unique they are

And how you can’t assess one’s creativity based off of a questionnaire

It’s funny

I thought I felt some type of way

About the other guys

That I thought I could love

But with you

It’s nothing like what I’ve ever felt before

It’s stronger

It feels like I’m on fire

It has been a long time

Since I’ve felt those butterflies

Fluttering around in my gut

The jefferson team is welcoming, fun, and loving!
