With Thanksgiving around the corner, it is the perfect time to try some new recipes! Whether you’re cooking for family, friends, or yourself, everyone loves a good side, especially at holiday dinners. After lots of practice, I have nailed down some perfect side dish recipes to keep yourself warm during this chilly November! Here are three quick and easy side dishes you can make for your upcoming Thanksgiving celebrations!

Roasted Herb Potatoes

  1. Cut red or yellow potatoes into small cubes. (For two people, I use 2 or 3 regular sized potatoes.)
  2. Put your potato cubes into a bowl and drizzle them with oil.
  3. Add salt, pepper, rosemary, and other herbs or seasonings of your choice.
  4. Toss your potatoes in the bowl, mixing in the oil and seasoning until they are evenly coated.
  5. If using an air-fryer, heat your air-fryer to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. If using an oven, heat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  6. Place your potatoes onto your tray or basket.
  7. Once the oven is ready, put in your potatoes.
  8. Cook the potatoes for about 20 minutes or until the outside is golden brown.
  9. Enjoy!

Glazed Brown Sugar Carrots

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  2. Once the water is boiling, put baby carrots into the water. (For 2 people, I use about half a bag, but use your own judgment.)
  3. Cover the pot and boil the carrots for 8 to 10 minutes until soft.
  4. Once your carrots have been cooked, drain the water and put the carrots back into the pot.
  5. Put a large pat of butter into the pot with a scoop of brown sugar and cover the pot again.
  6. Turn the stovetop to a low heat and let the butter fully melt.
  7. Once the butter has completely melted into the brown sugar, stir the carrots to coat them in the glaze.
  8. Serve and enjoy!

Garlic Cheese Pull-Apart Bread

  1. Prepare a pizza dough recipe of your choice, or use pre-made pizza dough.
  2. Once your dough is ready, make as many 1.5 inch balls of dough as you can.
  3. After separating your dough into these small pieces, create an indent in one of the balls.
  4. Stuff this indent with shredded mozzarella cheese and then cover the cheese with the dough.
  5. Roll the piece of dough back into a ball shape.
  6. Repeat with the rest of the dough balls.
  7. Once you have stuffed all of the dough pieces with cheese, place the balls into a baking dish, making sure that they all touch.
  8. Crush or mince garlic over the dough, making sure each piece has some on top.
  9. Sprinkle salt, pepper, basil, and any other herbs of your choice over the dough.
  10. Bake the dough in the oven according to the instructions of your pizza dough recipe.
  11. Once they have baked, serve with marinara sauce if you choose.
  12. Enjoy!
