Recently my face has been feeling kind of puffy and it is something that I find some of my friends struggle with as well. I feel like during the winter months my face definitely isn’t as slim as it is during summer because I’m not as active during the winter. After doing some mindless investigating on skincare YouTube I decided to invest in a facial roller. I honestly didn’t know what the difference was between a jade roller and a rose quartz roller… but I chose a rose quartz one because it was prettier and seemed to have more of a cooling effect. I ordered it on Monday and it came on Friday so I’d say the shipping was accurate and reasonable. I’m not sure if this is an unpopular opinion anymore, but I feel that Ulta is better than Sephora in so many aspects. They constantly have deals going on and their make-up and products are more on the affordable side. They also give out coupons almost all the time, making me gravitate to shop here for make-up/skincare items and they also carry drugstore brands that a lot of people love compared to expensive high-end makeup that just isn’t worth it. Here are some other cool products I bought off Ulta along with the facial roller because I can’t seem to order just one thing when I am online shopping:

Ulta Rose Quarts Facial Roller

So far I really like this skincare tool and it makes a lot of sense to have one. This was the most expensive thing that I got. I figured I invest in a good store brand one because I think they know what they’re doing… and I’d rather have a good tool since I am using it on my face and skin than a cheap one. In my opinion, it really wasn’t that expensive for something I am going to be using for a while, and the quality is good.

Acne spot dots by Peach Slices

I have tried spot dots before because one of my good friend lives by them, so I figured I buy some more. I ordered these mainly because this specific brand was having a buy 1 get one 40% off and they were cheaper than the other ones I tried out.

Dark Spot Microdarts by Peach Slices

I am really excited to try these and honestly did not know this was a thing. After I had bad cystic acne, I got dark spots that called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation which is pretty common for those who have suffered from cystic acne. I have kind of just been living with it because it could be worse than it is, and I don’t feel that it’s super noticeable. After I saw this product by the same brand having a sale, I saw it as a perfect opportunity to try them out.

Oil free makeup remover by Neutrogena

I noticed that my makeup wipes aren’t working as well as they used to. I currently have the Ponds makeup remover wipes. I liked the Ponds wipes for a while because they felt more refreshing, but the past few weeks I’ve noticed that they aren’t working as well for me anymore. I also don’t love how makeup remover wipes can be harsh on the skin. The last thing I want is makeup residue on my face and eyes overnight, so I’m trying out this liquid make up remover.

Free gift bag full of goodies!

Ulta is the best because on top of the buy 1 get 1 40% off, I had a coupon that was $3.50 off of any $15 purchase. AND I got free shipping, and a free 6-piece gift with any Ulta brand purchase! The free gift came with pencil eyeliner, brow gel, lip gloss, travel makeup wipes, and a cute little travel bag that you got to pick the color of.

I think it’s pretty obvious that I love to get deals and will do the most to get a bang for my buck. Because of all these deals, I think it’s a good makeup and skincare store for us college girls on a budget.
