This summer is a bit different for me- I will be living in an off-campus apartment here in Philly and I’ll be going to work as a graphic design intern for the first time. I’m excited to start something new and to see what is out there for me in the world. Here’s to growing up and having more independence. These are some of the things I’m looking forward to most this summer:
10. Warm weather- This winter has been nothing but crappy and cold, am I right? I can’t wait to run outside without a coat or hoodie on.
9. Concerts. Let’s be honest the best ones are always outside in the summer (who else can’t wait for Ed Sheeran in September?)
8. Pool hopping. We all have that one friend with the best pool.
7. Exploring Philly in the summer. Usually I’m here during the colder months and can’t wait to see the city at a different time of the year. Going for a bike ride to the art museum has never sounded so good.
6. Road tripping with friends. How many state lines can we cross?
5. Having more time to make my own meals and putting good food into my body.
4. Going on long walks with my dog. It’s the little things.
3. Nestling up with a great book by the pool.
2. Becoming a graphic design intern and actually getting paid to do work. I am just excited to see what it’s actually like in the real world.
1. Spending more time with family and friends at the beach. Can’t wait to do this without the extra demands of schoolwork. Let the good times come!
