In addition to your new schedule full of classes, there have been a couple of changes made on campus this year. No, these new changes do not include air conditioning for all dorms or an upgrade to the cafeteria food, but not all change is bad.
- There is now a new ramp located behind Millor that leads to the Belvoir parking lot. No more worrying about wiping out on those steps throughout the brutal Cleveland winter, now you have the option to fall on a ramp instead.
- Speaking of the parking lot, perhaps one of the biggest adjustments at John Carroll this year is the new parking arrangement. As you can see from the map sent out to students on Inside JCU at the end of the summer, modifications have been made regarding where students are required to park in order to make room for faculty, staff, and visitors. The most changes were made in the Belvoir lot.

- While there have not been any upgrades to the food in the Schott Dining Hall so far, you can now spot Fat Chris cooking instead of simply swiping you in. It seems this well-known caf employee is a man of many talents, and he will no longer be limited to one area of the caf.
- Perhaps the greatest change of all is the fact that students are now given ten meal transfers per semester as opposed to the usual five. This gives you a chance to try the new quesadillas that have been added to the menu.
- This fall, there will be a talent show sponsored by fraternity and sorority life. The show will take place during Homecoming and Family Weekend on Saturday, October 3rd and will be open for everyone to participate in.
- Last but not least, we cannot forget the newest class of incoming students who will be following the university’s new core curriculum! The class of 2019 brings in approximately 775 freshmen. Be sure to greet their bright and shiny faces as you welcome the new Blue Streaks!
