A Personal Break Down of Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0

A Personal Break Down of Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0

While I spend most of my time outside of class listening to somewhat-indie, pop, and rock artists that most of my friends don’t know or enjoy, on occasion I am charged with the important job of playing music for a car full of friends. Sometimes I don’t care enough to play the music that I know everyone will enjoy, but when I am feeling generous, I go straight for Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0.

Every single song is great to belt out to and hopefully, the entire car will have lost their voice by the time you arrive at your destination. Here is a quick break down of some of my favorites from the album:

“Stuck In The Moment”

At least in my friend group, this is the fan-favorite. JB may have gone a bit far though when he said, “Bonnie and Clyde never had to hide like we do.”

“Up”

I don’t know why this song popped into my head this week, but I’ve played it every single time I’ve gotten in my car. Possibly because I just recently found a guy I really like and I’m feeling optimistic about love.

“Baby”

Not sure I even need to say much about this one. Every single girl born between 1995 and 2000 should know every word to this song.

“Never Let You Go”

I vividly remember crying to this song in my bed in middle school because my crush of three years not only didn’t like me but actually hated me. Still not sure what 16-year-old JB thought he knew about true love, but 13-year-old Emily felt it.

“Eenie Meenie” (feat. Sean Kingston)

An absolute classic. Unfortunately, for a reason I do not know, it is not available to listen to on Spotify.

I hope you enjoyed my personal insights on an album that released almost ten years ago!
