5 Summer Jobs To Consider

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at JCU chapter.

If you don’t have an internship lined up for this summer, here are five jobs that’re worth your consideration.

1. Working at your local ice cream shop. I’ve been a Dairy Queen girl for over five years now, and I’ve made some great friendships along the way. Sure, customers aren’t always the best, but what’s better than being around ice cream during the warmer months?

2. Nannying. I have some friends who took on nannying jobs, and the financial perks are substantial. Plus, you get to work around cute kids all day!

3. Park ranger-ing. Love being outside in the sunshine? Check out your local metroparks. Here in CLE, there are several places to choose from.

4. Camp counseling. Again, if you love working around kids, working as a camp counselor is definitely worth looking into.

5. Tutoring. Want to keep your skills sharp over the summer? Become a tutor! Trust me, there are plenty of tutoring topics to choose from.
