My name is Carrie Colton. I am from Salt Lake City, Utah. My favorite movie is The Dark Knight, and my favorite spot on the JSU campus is outside of the Stone Center. When we empower women, we are creating a world that is more peaceful, successful, and fulfilling. A world where people are judged by their actions as individuals and not their genitalia. It is a world where children can dream of endless possibilities without censure, where grown men can cry without belittlement, and where all voices can be heard without the lense of societal shortcomings. Empowering women is about making our own choices , pursuing our own opportunities, and taking up the space we have earned at the table.
