When it comes to first dates, there are many important decisions a collegiate has to make. Hair straight or curly? Nails? Makeup? On top of all of these choices, is the question every girl asks as she stands in front of a closet full of clothes- What do I wear? To help make at least one first date dilemma easier, Her Campus IUP has compiled several amazing outfits to fit any first date scenario.
Date Scenario Number One
No matter the situation, a pair of skinnies and brown riding boots always makes for an adorable outfit. The outfit is perfect for anything from grabbing lunch to going together to an on-campus event. We paired it with a one shoulder cinched waist top that adds a sweet and romantic touch that’ll have your date hanging on to your every word. Pair it with a slouchy sweater or cardigan for a fall-focused look!
Date Scenario Number Two
Whether you’re going to a fancy dinner or a date party/formal, a little black dress is always a great idea. Black dresses are a go to because you can accessorize with any colors and put your own spin on your outfit. We chose a more modest cut dress that will be subtle, yet sexy, leaving more to the imagination. If you really want to have your date swooning, opt for red accessories, as research has proven red is the number one color to attract men.
Date Scenario Three
Not all first dates have to be your traditional dinner and a movie- if you and your date are the more adventurous type, you might find yourself going on a hike and doing outdoor activities. For an active or outdoor date definitely stick to comfortable clothing like a cute pair of sneakers and leggings are ideal. We paired it with a comfy gray hoodie and a headband to increase the cute factor.
Date Four Scenario 4
You can never go wrong with black jeans and a cute pair of flats. This outfit is perfect for anything from grabbing coffee to going to the mall or a concert. We paired it with an adorable black polka dot sleeveless top and a cute bracelet. It can easily be dressed up or down depending on the shoes and accessories you choose to fit any kind of date you have planned.
