What to do and what not to do. This applies to your campus, especially if you are visiting a different campus. I will also tell you what you should stock up on if participating in this event. I know for my first one I did not know what to expect or what to do.
What not to do:
I think we should start with what not to do since this is an important topic. The worst thing that can happen is when people do what they are not supposed to do.
- Do NOT bring weapons to a fun event. It is supposed to just be a giant get-together and a social event this goes for yourself and also people you may be inviting or bringing. When bringing a weapon mixed with substances is never a good mix. You can end up hurting yourself or others.
- Do NOT overdo activities. You do not want to endanger yourself or others by not being able to control yourself. If you keep doing it you may have to go to the hospital.
- Do NOT vandalize your school property, especially not another college. For your school that is supposed to be treated like your space with respect and dignity. For another school, you are a guest at that place and should not do that to anyone or anything.Â
- (I can not believe I have to put this) Do NOT hurt police animals or the police themselves. You should not be harming animals at all to begin with which can lead you in Pennsylvania with up to 7 years in prison and loss of scholarships putting your degree in jeopardy. This leads to the second part you are also old enough to know not to lay your hands on the police.
What you should do:
- Have fun as long as it does not negatively affect you or others around you.Â
- Stock up on water and make sure that you stay hydrated.Â
- Be respectful of other people and your surroundingsÂ
- Make sure to have snacks with you or if you have an apartment make sure to have food stalked up there as well.
- Stock up on Pedialyte
What to expect:
- There will be a lot of people at these events. If you do not like a lot of people or get uncomfortable in large crowds do not go.
- Police presence will be all over during these times to help control situations if they get out of hand. If police presence is an issue for you do not go.
- those were warnings but what to expect is a large crowd of people in one area. There will be people of all ages that attend these events.
- There will be loud music, people yelling and carrying on, possibly dancing and decent amount of people bring out games to play.
