My Favorite Disney Park Foods

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

After working at Walt Disney World for a couple of months back in 2020, I’ve gotten pretty familiar with the delicious quick service foods around the parks. From your all-year-round treats to limited-time specialty foods and drinks, I’m sharing with you some of my absolute favorites!

Mickey Pretzels

A classic. There is nothing quite like grabbing a Mickey Pretzel (don’t forget the hot cheese or chocolate!) and watching a parade float down Main Street! I love this salty snack because it is part of the Disney Dining Plans and is available at every park! You can also purchase a Jumbo Pretzel at the Germany Courtyard in Epcot (yum!).

Ronto Wrap

Available only at Hollywood Studio’s Galaxy’s Edge, this savory treat is definitely worth a trip to Batuu! Ronto Roasters serves up this Peppercorn Sauce and Tangy Slaw covered Roasted Pork and Grilled Pork Sausage wrapped in a delicious Pita Bread. This was a must try during my Disney College Program and I was not disappointed.

Dole Whip

This is another classic treat that is perfect to help you cool down under the Florida sun. You can get your refreshing Dole Whip treat at multiple locations across the Disney World property like Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Africa at Animal Kingdom, the Marketplace Snacks Booth at Disney Springs, and the Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian Village Resort (and you have the option to add rum!). Although, my favorite spot to get this chilly treat is at Aloha Isle located in Adventureland where they have multiple variations like Raspberry-Pineapple Swirl and Vanilla-Pineapple Swirl.

GIANT Cinnamon Rolls

If you have a sweet tooth and love the taste of cinnamon, you’ve got to get your hands on one of these bad boys! These icing-covered Giant Cinnamon Rolls are on the menu at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom and I can’t rave about them enough. Grab a fork, pair this treat with a cup of LeFou’s Brew, and you’re all set!

Chicken Fried Rice

This Chicken Fried Rice from the restaurant Yak and Yeti located in the Asia area of Animal Kingdom is the perfect snack when you’re feeling a bit hungry between meals. My sister introduced me to this hidden gem, and it quickly became one of my favorites!

Frozen Sweet Tea

You can find this frozen drink at Magic Kingdom’s Diamond Horseshoe restaurant or The Golden Oak Outpost in Frontierland. I love a good sweet tea and this slushy always hits the spot on a hot day! Add some loaded onion rings (also amazing) before you get in line for Big Thunder Mountain!

Margaritas

My sister absolutely loves the margaritas sold in Mexico located in the World Showcase of Epcot. She swears that they are the best drink you can get throughout Disney property and I’m going to take her word for it! From frozen to original, there are so many different kinds like the popular “fiesta margarita” and the “Avocado Margarita”.

Spring Rolls

These popular crunchy spring rolls were (fortunately) one of the snacks I got to try during my training at Magic Kingdom. Cheeseburger and Pepperoni Pizza are the two flavors of savory spring roll you can choose from at a small cart right outside of Adventureland. Personally, I love them both. You get two rolls and you can choose two of each flavor or mix and match (the best of both worlds). Once you get a taste of these addicting snacks you’ll understand why they’re so popular!

Well, there you have it foodies, my favorite foods and drinks from the happiest place on earth. Share this with your Disney loving friends so they know what tasty treats to get next time they take a trip to Walt Disney World!
