The most stressful weeks in your college years can be summed up in two words: finals week!  Cramming for all of your classes, late night coffee runs, and endless hours in the library are what you live around for those 5 days.  Here are some study tips to help you surpass this devastating, rough week.

1. Make caffeine your best friend.  Caffeine is one way that you can trick your mind into thinking that you can keep the energy going.  Grab a cup of coffee, some donuts, or even candy and keep studying!

2. Find your quiet place.  If it’s the library or your dorm room, find somewhere completely quiet to study.  The more peaceful the room, the more focused you will be and you will accomplish a lot more in a shorter amount of time.

3. No phone zone allowed.  Cellular devices are one of the biggest distractions there are.  You catch yourself studying for 5 minutes and then going straight to your phone to look on Twitter or text someone back.  While studying, turn your phone off or put it on airplane mode.

4. Find a study buddy.  Ask a friend or a group of people in one of your classes and study all together.  These individuals can help you stay focused and answer any questions you have on material that you are unsure of.

5. Make flash cards.  For each separate class, make flashcards for the material that you must know.  Make them short and sweet and even add some color to make studying fun.  Once you master a certain amount move on to the next subject.

Use these tips so that finals week doesn’t completely wreck you.  Never give up and believe in yourself.  You can get through it!
