Although fall 2020 may not look like it has in past years, that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate the changing season! With all the stresses of school, work, and national conflicts, it can be easy to forget to enjoy life. That’s why it’s more important than ever to take a moment and do something festive. Here are five activities to boost your spirits fall style!

Carve a Pumpkin

There’s nothing like stabbing into a big pumpkin to relieve some stress! Whether your pattern is the traditional pumpkin grin or a cute little bat it is very rewarding to see the finished product. Save those pumpkin seeds, too- you can roast them in the oven for a healthy snack!

Jump in a Leaf Pile

Sure, this may seem juvenile but every now and then you need to let your inner child have some fun! This is another great way to relieve some stress and enjoy a carefree moment- who doesn’t love the crinkling sound of fallen leaves? Grab a rake and get to work!

Bake a Pie

Whether you’re an apple pie fan or a lover of the traditional pumpkin, anyone can tackle baking a pie! Some pies come premade so all you have to do is stick it in the oven; but if you’re feeling ambitious, start from scratch. Check out Pinterest for some easy, delicious recipes!

Visit a Corn Maze or Haunted House

Getting out of the house or away from work may be hard right now, but many corn mazes and haunted houses are open and perfect for celebrating fall. If you’re a fan of being spooked, a haunted house is great for pumping the adrenaline! If you’re not so much a fan of the dark, a corn maze is ideal to relax and enjoy the crisp air- even if you get lost!

Watch Halloween Movies

Snuggling under a cozy blanket with a cup of apple cider to watch your favorite Halloween movie is unmatched- except when Christmas rolls around. There are tons of Halloween movies to pick from- Hocus PocusThe Addams Family, or even the Harry Potter series (yes, it counts). Not to mention the super scary ones like HalloweenNightmare on Elm Street, or Scream. It’s never too early to start!

Just by doing one of these activities, you’re taking a moment for yourself- which is deserved and necessary. Now go out and enjoy fall before it’s over!
