It’s here! It’s here! The fall 2013 TV season is finally here. Even though for some shows, the season started last week, it’s still not too late to get pulled into the madness of a new or returning show. It doesn’t matter if you’re stopping your day to be at the TV as soon as the show comes on or DVRing your favorite new or old show: sit back, kick your feet up, and take a break from the books. The fall 2013 TV season has officially begun and it’s a season like none other.

New Shows: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division):   ABC Tuesdays @ 8 p.m. (started September 24)

Spider-Man! The Hulk! Iron Man and many more! For years Marvel has created memorable characters that we have grown up with (realistically, even your parents and, maybe, grandparents have also grown up with them).  This season, Marvel’s first television series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., continues where the Avengers left off. The show is brought to ABC from the producers of top shows including Alias, Smallville, and Lost. Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, as he assembles a group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together, they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary.

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland:  ABC Thursdays @ 8 p.m. (Starting October 10)

Once again, you’re a kid, lying in bed and hearing/listening every bedtime story begins with “Once upon a time…” Now, fast forward to fall 2011 and ABC has turned your favorite bedtime stories and happily ever afters into a show filled with magic, monsters, darkness, and all the familiar characters we grew up with. Today, we’re moving from one land to another… Wonderland. You know the story; now go down the rabbit hole to enter the all too familiar land with a twist.

Returning Shows: Scandal:  ABC THURSDAY @ 10 p.m. (started Oct. 3)

There’s nothing more scandalous or sexy than Scandal. Everyone has a secret… and Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) has dedicated her life to protecting and defending the public images of the nation’s elite and keeping those secrets under wraps. Her job is to protect the elite’s secrets, yet viewers will also see some of Olivia’s own secrets coming to light. This show is fascinating, filled with amazing acting, and keeps its audiences on its toes. The show is brought to ABC from the executive producers of both Greys Anatomy and Private Practice.

The Voice: NBC Monday @ 8 p.m. (started September 23)

Reunited and it feels so good. It doesn’t matter if your team Blake, Christina, CeeLo, or Adam. It’s back! The Voice returns with some of the finest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the fifth season of the vocal competition. Not only is The Voice one of the best competition shows on TV, viewers will also be happy that original coaches, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green are back on the show after taking last season off.

Must Mention Special: Crazy, Sexy, Cool VH1 October 21, 2013

It might not be a TV show, but I couldn’t help but mention the film based on the rise of one of the highest selling female groups of all time, TLC. The film’s stars KeKe Palmer (“Akeela & the Bee,” “True Jackson VP,” “Joyful Noise”) will portray Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas; Lil Mama (“America’s Best Dance Crew”) will take on the role of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Drew Sidora (“Step Up,” “Wild Hogs,” “The Game”) plays Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins. From Atlanta to the tip of the mountain top, this movie follows the group’s success, mayhem, and tragedy. Watch the movie and keep a look out for your favorite songs such as No Scrubs, Waterfalls, and Crazy, Sexy, Cool. Everyone needs a little TLC.
