Easy Fall Dessert Recipes You’ll Love

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IUP chapter.

If you’re anything like me, you know that one of the best parts of Fall is the delicious food that accompanies the greatest season of the year. That being said, I think Fall-flavored desserts are typically fairly easy to make, and there’s no better time than now to test out your inner Martha Stewart. I’ve made most of these recipes, but I added some that I have yet to try but look and sound divine.

  1. Pumpkin Roll

A classic, go-to dessert for Fall. Not a hard recipe to make at all. It’s the right amount of sweet, and with the right type of cream cheese frosting, you can’t go wrong. This is the kind of dessert that people who have never made it before think it is SO difficult to do. Give it a try and amaze your friends and family with your incredible baking skills! Ingredients and instructions can be found here.

2. Buttermilk Pumpkin Donuts

Dunkin Donuts can only satisfy your sweet tooth so much. I mean, who doesn’t love donuts, especially homemade ones?! I have yet to try this recipe, but I’m a donut fanatic, so I’m sure they won’t disappoint. With the perfect hint of pumpkin and buttermilk to remind you of simpler times in your life, this donut promises to be full of nostalgia! Ingredients and instructions can be found here.

3. Cinnamon Apple Crumb Cake

If you aren’t a huge pumpkin fan, this one is probably a good go-to dessert. I’ve always been a huge lover of crumb cake, so adding a cinnamon apple touch is the perfect twist for this time of year. Surely, if you make this for a group of people they will not be disappointed. Bonus points if you can make it look as gorgeous as the picture! Ingredients and instructions can be found here.

4. Apple Fries with Caramel Dip

This one is also another recipe I have yet to try out, but I’ll definitely be giving it a shot over the holidays. It’s a simple recipe, and I don’t think you can go wrong with anything that is in the form of a fry. Honestly, I think the word “fries” got me before I even read the rest of the recipe. Ingredients and instructions can be found here.

5. 2-Ingredient Apple Pie Cups

There are no excuses not to try this one since all you need are two ingredients: a can of refrigerated Pillsbury cinnamon rolls and apple pie filling. This will most definitely be a crowd-favorite if you’re a fan of cinnamon rolls. It’s also so simple to make! Give it a try this Fall season and enjoy the aromas of cinnamon in the air! Ingredients and instructions can be found here.
