If you need help picking out costumes this year you have come to the right place. Even if it’s last minute costumes or you’re just looking for ideas now. I have five costumes that would win any costume contest. I hope you read through the whole article because there are interesting points you don’t want to miss. I will attach Spirit Halloween’s Link here so you could go on and shop there. However, if there are costumes I said about finding cheaper options, you could find them anywhere I suggested in the following paragraphs.Â
- Velma: This classic character is one of the reasons I love mystery novels and obviously you can’t go wrong with Velma. Her love for mystery, solving things and her love for Shaggy. All you need for this costume will be an orange turtleneck sweater, a reddish orange skirt, a brown wig ( it doesn’t have to have bangs it can be without), if you have glasses already that’s good, but if you don’t wear glasses then you can buy a cheap pair of fake glasses at a party supply store, and last but not least her classic red heels  ( If you don’t wear heels that’s totally fine you can wear flats they can even not be red.)  For the flats, make sure they kind of look like a teacher’s shoe.Â
- Old lady: This costume is easy to assemble on a low budget. All you will need would be a night gown, preferably one you think your grandma would wear or bonus points you ask your grandma to borrow one of hers. Next you are going to need a sweater to layer underneath the night gown and some sweatpants too. (Just for extra comfort and extra warmth, and they also style it like this too). A pearl necklace, if your grandma has one then use that one, but if you don’t then that’s totally fine, you can buy one from the costume store for a cheap price. Last three things you will need is heatless curlers, you can buy for cheap at the dollar store or any store you have around you. The second thing would be some type of flat shoe it could be slippers, sandals (like grandma type sandals) or you could do orthopedic shoes. And last but not least a cane, you have to have a cane so people know you’re an old lady your you can use a walker, or you can just sit in a wheelchair.Â
- Witch: Nobody could go wrong with a witch costume. You could go to your local Halloween store and find a costume pack that has mostly everything in it or you can also go to Walmart if you have one around you and buy a cheap witch hat there. And then you could go to a Good Will and find a black dress that you think matches with a witch vibe. While you’re there you could find a pair of black boots, heels, or flats to go with the costume and then just grab a broom from your hall closet at home.Â
- Roaring 20’s: It’s a costume theme but I could also be a costume in general. You could do something 20’s themed where it was prohibition and you’re a protestor protesting it. You could do a funny theme with that, or you could be a flapper and buy a whole costume from your local Halloween store, and you could look amazing, or you could even do something that has to do with women having the right to vote. You have lots of options with this theme or it could just be your costume.Â
- Cheerleader: This is also a classic costume that you can decide how you want to do it. You could do an NFL cheerleader, or you could go as a school cheerleader. If you would pick an NFL cheerleader you could go to any of your local Halloween stores, and they might have an NFL cheerleader costume in there or if you look on spirit Halloween’s website, they have a few costumes like that, but they just don’t have the team’s logo on it. Then if you wanted to be a school cheerleader you could also go to your local Halloween store or spirit Halloween store and buy one also, they have some cute school cheer costumes that would be perfect for any age. Also, if you wanted to be kind of like a Zombie the movie on Disney cheerleader, they have those too.Â
