There are some people you meet that continue to surprise you no matter how long you know them. Hannah Williams is one of those people.
Hannah’s major is speech pathology. With only around 30 people in the program, speech pathology is a rigorous, competitive program that shows the dedication and academic integrity of those who can succeed in it. Showing her further involvement in her future career field, Hannah is a member of the National Speech Hearing and Language Association.
Hannah’s favorite thing about IUP is “the sense of community and how easy it is to get involved on campus,” and she certainly knows about being involved.
When not working towards her long-term goals, Hannah is busy with her other extra curriculars including being treasurer for the Panhellenic Association, the organization that oversees all Greek life. Along with this, she is on the Executive Board for her sorority, Theta Phi Alpha.
Hannah’s other organizations include Tost and Turned, a student run theatre organization, where she is secretary and was the assistant director to this fall’s play, Lend Me a Tenor. Hannah is also a proud member of the Robert E. Cook Honors College.
When asked about her favorite free-time activities, she replied…
“My favorite thing to do is eat. And sleep. No, really. I don’t have a ton of time to do either so when I do its like Christmas. And when I’m not eating or sleeping, I’m probably thinking about it.” To destress, Hannah likes to go to the animal shelter and play with the animals.
Although only 5’3” of adorableness and a massive sweetheart, Hannah is a bad-ass rocker at heart who loves to attend rock, metal, and all sorts of live music events. She is also an avid Raven’s fan who is not afraid to tell Steeler’s fans what’s what.
I don’t want to ruin all of the surprises for you, but you should know that there is more than meets the eye to this girl. She says she has “met many people who have changed my life for the better,” while at IUP so far, and surely she has change the lives of many others for the better in return.
