1. Chocolate Covered Strawberry Hearts

PC: https://tipbuzz.com/chocolate-covered-strawberry-hearts/

Ingredients:

Strawberries

Chocolate

Instructions:

STEP 1: PREPARE THE STRAWBERRIES

Rinse the strawberries and pat dry carefully with paper towels. Make sure the strawberries are completely dry before dipping. To make heart-shaped strawberries in this recipe, you need to remove the green leaves and stems before slicing each strawberry in half lengthwise. Then place two halves next to each other to form a heart shape and fasten with a toothpick. Repeat the process for the remaining strawberries.

STEP 2: MELT THE CHOCOLATE

Take your chocolate and add a small amount of oil and heat. Microwave at 30-second intervals and stir each time in between until the chocolate is smooth.

STEP 3: DIP THE STRAWBERRIES

Line a sheet pan with wax or parchment paper and set aside. Dip the strawberries hearts into melted chocolate one at a time. You can use a fork or hold them with toothpicks and let the excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.

STEP 4: DECORATE THE CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES

After the chocolate has set, take the strawberries out from the fridge. Carefully remove the toothpicks with your fingers. Melt more chocolate according to the instructions in Step 2. Then decorate by drizzling either with another chocolate or red decorating icing.

STEP 5: ENJOY!

Ingredients:

1box (15.25 oz) Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Cake Mix Red Velvet

1 large egg

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/3 cup water

1can (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Frosting Fluffy White

Instructions:

STEP 1: Pour the cake mix into a large bowl. Add the egg, vegetable oil, and water. Mix all the ingredients together until well incorporated. The batter will be very thick.

STEP 2: Spread the brownies into a sprayed 9×13-inch pan. This can be a bit tricky as the batter is thick and sticky. Wet the spatula a little with water to help it spread better.

STEP 3: Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack. Take a heart-shaped cookie cutter and cut hearts out of brownies. If doing large hearts you will get about six. If doing this with medium, you will get about ten. If doing this with small, you will get about twelve.

STEP 4: Place frosting into a piping bag. Alternately, you can just spread with a knife. Turn half the hearts over and pipe frosting on to the turned over hearts.

STEP 5: Place the other heart brownies on top of the frosted heart. Repeat for all the hearts.

STEP 6: ENJOY!
