The Most Binge-Worthy Netflix Show of the Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IU chapter.

If you’re anything like me, finding a new show to binge on Netflix that you actually enjoy can take MONTHS. Picking a show that is both exciting enough to keep you interested and short enough to leave you wanting more is hard to come across these days. I spent endless hours pawning through the depths of TV shows available, only to find that I’ve either A) watched a series multiple times and know every single line (ahem ahem Gossip Girl), or B) attempted watching a new show but lost all interest along the way.

While scrolling through the usual popular picks, I found a show I hadn’t watched yet and that came highly recommended by a friend. The show is called 13 Reasons Why,  and it’s a brand new Netflix original series that’s executive produced by Selena Gomez. It revolves around Liberty High School and the kids who attend. The main character, Hannah Baker, commits suicide after she was severely bullied by a group of her classmates. Before Hannah decided to end her own life, she records thirteen cassette tapes to pass on to each of the people who hurt her in the past, each having their own tape and story as to how they contributed to her death. Each episode covers one tape and one tragic story, revealing more and more about each student at Liberty High School. This show is dramatic and mysterious, as well as relatable in one way or another. I watched the entire season in a day and a half, and I am already dying for Netflix to put up the next season. 13 Reasons Why keeps your attention the entire time, therefore it’s the perfect show to choose for your next binge-watch.
