Mikey Hayes ’15

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IU chapter.

Name: Mikey Hayes

Year: Sophomore

Status: Single!

Hometown: Chicago

Campus Involvement: RA, Student Alumni Association, and a frequent member of the SRSC … the west wing is named after me :)

Major: Marketing, Sports Management, Minor in Spanish

Brunette or Blonde: Both!

Hobbies: Cooking, Dancing, and Late Night Talks

HCIU: Favorite First Date Spot on Campus?

Mikey Hayes: Gresh or McNutt C-Store haha but no seriously, probably anywhere that has ice cream, because who doesn’t have a good time while eating ice cream?

HCIU: Favorite Bar?

MH: I’m too little :(

HCIU: Dream Job?

MH: Sports Agent

HCIU: Celebrity Crush?

MH: Taylor Swift, no contest

HCIU: Deal breakers?

MH: Ehh either if you can’t handle my sarcasm or you can’t hold a good conversation.

HCIU: Talents?

MH: Cooking, girl talk, and picking someone up when they’re down.

HCIU: Favorite quote?

MH: “It’s not who I am underneath, but it’s what I do that Defines Me” – Batman Begins

HCIU: Fashion Trend you hate:

MH: Definitely the fanny packs that people are trying to bring back, c’mon, you’re better than that.

HCIU: TV Show?

MH: Friends, Seinfeld or Curb Your Enthusiasm

HCIU: First thing you notice about a girl?

MH: Eyes, a pretty set of eyes will mesmerize me and make me melt in the palm of your hand.

HCIU: If you could have a bromance with any celebrity who would it be?

MH: That’s a toss up between Ryan Gosling and Channing Tatum. Ryan Gosling is a straight up Man in “Drive” and a sweet heart in “The Notebook” and Channing Tatum is just a stud in every movie he’s ever been in. See my dilemma here?

HCIU: What’s your favorite late night snack?

MH: I’m just gonna say I have no control when there’s an Oreo McFlurry in front of me.

HCIU: What’s your favorite place to shop?

MH: Pacsun and i’ve just recently been introduced to Forever 21 Men which also seems to have its act together.

HCIU: What famous person would you date and why?

MH: Taylor Swift, just to see if every other person she dates really does suck, or if she actually has a problem, and no matter what happens, she’ll probably write a song about me, so it’s a win-win.

HCIU: Favorite artist?

MH: Ahhh, that’s tough because it all depends on my mood I think, but Akon or Boyce Avenue get me every time.

HCIU: What type of car do you drive?

MH: A black Chevy Camaro, and I call it the Batmobile.

HCIU: Most memorable experience in college?

MH: I went as Magic Mike for Halloween and I actually got paid at a party to give a girl a lap dance. And I thought that was cool ’cause anyone can dress up in a costume, but getting offered money to give a lap dance ’cause I went as a stripper just took everything next level … And yes, I kept the money.

*Somehow Mikey got lost in the mix of our Valentine’s Day cuties, but we still thought all our single ladies needed to see this… Maybe you’ll be his lucky lady next year?

HCIU: Do you like Valentine’s Day?

MH: Well I believe that everyday with your special someone should be a mini valentine’s day and you should treat them the best that you can, because if you only do that on Valentine’s Day, then what are you doing for the other 364 days of the year? But I do love Valentine’s Day. I can see it being a little rough if you don’t at least have someone special in your life, no one should have to spend Valentine’s Day alone.

HCIU: What would you do on your dream Valentine’s Day?

MH: It would definitely involve dancing and me cooking dinner or breakfast or lunch or all of the above for my beautiful girl. And then we’d lay under the stars just listening to our voices, and hopefully I would get to fall asleep next to her with her in my arms.

Hey!I'm currently a sophomore here at IU, studying Journalism & Psychology. Born and bred in a Chicago suburb (yes, I admit it's a suburb), I love going to Lollapalooza every year and taking the train to go to concerts downtown. I started reporting for HerCampus in the fall of 2012, and I'm excited to keep writing articles! I am a member of Alpha Gamma Delta and I am also a part of the Equestrian Team. I hope to one day have a horse of my own. This summer I hope to study abroad in Paris to help fulfill my French minor. I love living in Btown and being a Hoosier and I'm super pumped for basketball season this year! Let's get that banner!
