Hungry Hoosiers: Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at IU chapter.

It is no secret that Bloomington is bursting with tons of great locally owned restaurants. Whether you’re dining out or getting food delivered, anything you crave is within 10 minutes away. With so many delicious restaurants to choose from, it can be hard to decide on the perfect place for you and your friends.

If you’re on a search for the perfect burger joint, look no further– Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream is the place to go! This somewhat-hidden gem is located at 480 N. Morton St. at the corner of 9th and Morton.

The atmosphere of the restaurant makes it an entertaining place for both large and small parties. Games are even set on every table to ensure no one gets bored! The walls are covered in pictures of Hoosiers who were able to finish Bub’s signature one-pound “Big Ugly” burger.

Their menu consists of burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches (even a Mahi-Mahi!), wings, salads, milkshakes, and malts. Aside from a traditional beef patty, they offer elk burgers for a low fat, low cal, and low cholesterol option. Believe us—you’ll need to go for the lighter burger so you won’t feel too guilty about ordering some fries and a shake to complete the perfect meal!

Bub’s is open seven days a week, from 11 am to 10 pm.
