Walk through the Arboretum on any given day of the week and you will notice a common trend of the student body: head phones. Whether you are sporting a new pair of Beats or just your average ear buds, the majority of students opt to listen to music on their walk to class. This phenomenon really isn’t that different from when I used my portable CD player on the bus on the way to school in 3rd grade. Despite the fact that it probably wouldn’t be acceptable for me to listen to Aaron’s Party on a CD player anymore, music is still a very relevant part of student life at IU.
