This coming spring, Italian fashion line Gucci will be going FUR FREE! The CEO of the corporation, Marco Bizzarri, made this announcement during a speech at the London College of Fashion. The company is aiming to make sustainability a central part of their business.

For those who are still interested in Gucci’s fur products, don’t worry. Gucci will be auctioning off the remaining fur items at an upcoming charity event. All proceeds will be going to animal rights organizations such as the Humane Society International and LAV.

Last year, Armani made the change to stop using fur. Along with Gucci, these two companies hope to see a ripple effect in the fashion industry over time.

The fashion industry is taking a huge step in ending animal cruelty and helping the environment, one company at a time. If you’re interested in supporting this cause to save animals and raise awareness against animal cruelty, check out Fur Free Alliance!
