Name: Bryan Cohen

Relationship Status: Single
Nicknames: “B”
Major: Telecommunications and Media
Dream Job: To work in the music industry with song writing and production.
Current Job: Model at Hollister in College Mall
Favorite Movie: Superbad
Favorite Bands: All Time Low, Paramore, Yellowcard

HCIU: What is something not a lot of people know about you?
Bryan: I’m a singer/songwriter.
HCIU: What inspires you to write your songs?
B: What is currently going on in my life. They’re all based off an emotion.
HCIU: Do you have any one song that describes the kind of girl you want?
B: Never Gonna Let This Go – The Scene. It’s optimistic and positive and has a look at what a good relationship is like.

HCIU: How would you describe your style?
B: In high school I used to be a jock, but once I went away to college I became more of who I wanted to be. I think now I’m more of a skater style.
HCIU: So since you’re single what are some of the qualities you look for in a girl?
B: I like a sense of humor and a good taste in music. She needs to like to work out and be active. Looks aren’t too important to me. I want to know them on a more personal level.
HCIU: What are some turn-offs?
B: When a girl chews gum with her mouth open. And lip gloss and strong smelling lotion. I hate when girls are constantly looking for me to compliment them. I want a girl who orders more than a salad; I want her to be comfortable eating around me.
HCIU: What is your idea of a perfect date?
B: No movie theaters, they’re too impersonal. I’d rather walk around town together, go to dinner. I like going to lame little things like go-karts, things that we can both have fun doing.
HCIU: Do you have a favorite restaurant in Bloomington?
B: Scotty’s. I usually get a burger and waffle fries.
HCIU: Any favorite place on campus?
B: Probably the music school. So I can play music and distress.
HCIU: Do you spend most of your time here?
B: Yes, I’m always practicing music.
HCIU: If there was one person you could trade places with, who would it be?
B: My dad. So I could see how I really am through his perspective. I would learn a little more about who I really am.
