There’s no question that the holiday season puts everyone into a good mood. There is nothing better than watching the first snowfall as it clings to the trees, baking Christmas cookies, or checking out Freeform’s 25 Days of Christmas. However, I have found it to be extremely difficult to get into the Christmas spirit when it is still 60 degrees in southern Indiana. Being a native Wisconsinite, it was always easy to get into the Christmas spirit due to the blistering cold temperatures and the constant desire to cuddle up in a pile of blankets with a cup of hot chocolate. However, it is not quite the same in Indiana. Here are a few things you can do to get yourself in the holiday spirit:

1. Watch a Christmas movie

2. Go ice skating

3. Bake Christmas cookies

4. Listen to Christmas music

5. Decorate your room/apartment/house with Christmas decor

6. Light Christmas-themed candles

7. Go shopping for gifts for your family and friends

8. Host a Secret Santa

9. Order a holiday drink from Starbucks

10. Have a “Christmas dinner” with all of your friends
