You’ve decided to skip the beach and hit the slopes this break, a risqué move, but hey, snowboarders are cute. There are 100 different survival guides out there on how to enjoy your sunny days in the sand, but not that many on how to enjoy the slopes and rock that killer goggle tan. Here are a few things that helped me keep everything in check.

An ID Holder

There’s nothing worse than wiping out and losing everything you own on a mountain. A quick fix was taking my Vera Bradley Zip ID Case and clipping it to the inside of my jacket. It kept my hotel key, cash and ID all together in a comfortable place, and I never worried about it finding it’s way into the side of a mountain.

Circle Pay

For those moments when you’re just starving from all the runs up and down a slope, or simply wanted to split a tab in one of those cute ski town restaurants but have no cash on you, Circle Pay is a life savior. This app lets you pretty much send money using either your email or phone number. It’s pretty much a money message! That’s a lot easier than tracking the cold to find an ATM or coming back from the break to still owe money from that one restaurant you went to.

Killer Hair and Makeup Products

Helmet hair sucks, especially after sweating. Whenever I wanted to get ready for a night out I would use TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner and TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo. It would leave my hair bouncy and helmet line free. Another go-to for those nights out was my Milani eyeliner. The fine felt tip makes it quick and easy to apply, which was perfect for looking great without putting too much effort into it; we all know a day of skiing wipes us out.

Gummy Vitamins

To avoid getting sick in any way shape or form, I added AZO Cranberry Gummies to my daily vitamins. Two AZO Cranberry Gummies = one 10 ounce glass of cranberry juice!

CEA Study Abroad

By the end of my trip, I was thinking about what it would be like to — at least — spend a semester somewhere I could ski not only on breaks and long weekends, so I looked up some interesting destinations at CEA Study Abroad. It’s an organization that  gives students the opportunity to take classes and earn credits around the world. CEA provides programs for U.S. undergrad students for a semester, year, or summer options.
