Lynzi’s Five: Celeb Tweets Of The Week

Ah, the beauty of Twitter: giving us an inside look into the personal lives of celebs since 2006. What were the top tweets by celebs this week? Let’s find out.
 

1. Ricky Gervais
Let’s start out with an inspirational shared thought. On Tuesday, March 5th, Gervais tweeted this unexpected but well-appreciated thought. At first glance, I was quite surprised seeing who it came from, but hey, we’ll take it! Thanks for the boosting words of encouragement, Ricky; especially during midterms week for us collegiate gals. Ick.
 

2. Miley Cyrus
And here it comes; you knew there had to be a hint of Hollywood drama in here. Miley shared this little tidbit with her followers clearly in a fit of gossip-sparked anger. She went on to tweet after this saying that her new music is going to “shut everyone up” and she’s not discussing anything but her music anymore. Poor Miles. At least she’s got the hard, toned shoulder of Liam Hemsworth to cry on. *Sigh*
 

3. Kim Kardashian
After a scare threatening her pregnancy on Tuesday night, Kim K was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after returning from Paris fashion week. Thankfully it was just a false alarm, but Kim was told to get more rest and not to overdo it. She tweeted this out to her worried fans on Friday, and seems to be doing much better since.
 

4. Ryan Lochte and Carmen Electra
So here’s the weird one. Bizarre enough that we had to combine these two. Olympian Ryan Lochte finally met his “childhood crush” Carmen Electra and tweeted with this picture. Electra tweeted back, using Lochte’s catchphrase, “jeah,” in response with this picture. So not sure how I feel about this interaction.
 

5. David Boreanaz
This IC alumnus shared one of MY favorite tweets of the week when he asked Ithaca seniors to share their favorite moments on South Hill, in anticipation of his return as commencement speaker in May. Successful, dreamy, and an alum of Ithaca, we just have to love his sweet reaching out to students here on the hill.
