Her Campus IC: What inspired you to get involved with Sauteed?

Linda Vallancourt: I love cooking and prior to coming to Ithaca I wanted to start a cooking show. When I found out ICTV had this show I immediately hopped on board because I grew up cooking with my parents and I got super involved with looking up recipes, watching the Food Network, baking and cooking.

HCIC: WHat is your favorite part of being on the show?

LV: My favorite part is working with everyone because my co-host, the crew and the producers are so nice.  We sit around and laugh and talk; it’s a very family-like environment.  And I like using a real kitchen. 

HCIC: What dish are you loving right now?

LV: Anything that’s baked because I am very passionate about baking.  I’m constantly compiling recipes for cakes, cookies and brioche. 

HCIC: What’s your favorite song?

LV: My favorite song right now is “My Sweet Lord” by George Harrison, but that answer will probably change tomorrow.

HCIC: What is your favorite place in Ithaca?

LV: The Terrace Dining Hall, because I eat there and hang out with people, it’s my chill place.  But I also enjoy my room…and Wegmans.
