In my opinion, one of the cutest breeds of dogs on the planet is the Dachshund. Its short legs and long body give it the characteristic look of the wiener dog. Dachshunds were originally bred to follow scents, chase smaller animals and hunt prey, such as rabbits. They are a very popular breed of dog in America and according to the AKC, the Dachshund is the 13th most popular dog in the United States.
