With Netflix finally adding Victorious to their streaming service, I started noticing how many people are either re-watching it for the sake of nostalgia or are just seeing it for the first time. Watching a Nickelodeon show in your 20’s definitely hits different than when you’re a kid; you start to notice things you probably never paid attention to before. For example, I only now get most of the hidden adult jokes in the show, and my perspective for each character has enormously changed. One of those characters, being Trina Vega (Tori’s older sister) who is played by Daniella Monet.
This got me thinking about where all the stars from Victorious are now, and what has been going on with their lives. Of course, I didn’t have to think twice for Ariana Grande, with all her success in the music industry;but the one star from the show who surprised me the most (and trust me, they’re all full of surprises) was Daniella Monet, who has now become my favorite cast member from Victorious, and here’s why:

Many people don’t know it, but Daniella grew up a vegetarian since she was five years old and went vegan at the age of thirteen. Along the actress Evanna Lynch, Monet co-founded Kinder Beauty Box; a curated monthly subscription box that specializes in delivering at least $75 worth of hand-picked vegan and cruelty-free makeup, skincare, hair-care and accessories. Their box is made from 100% recycled materials and is both biodegradable and compostable. The packing materials inside the box are also made from 100% recycled materials, and the ink used to print their logo and designs on the outside of the box, is an eco-friendly soy-based ink. Every month a portion of proceeds goes to various animal rights and environmental causes. In 2019, Kinder Beauty has supported organizations such as ASPCA, Farm Sanctuary, Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation and Compassion Over Killing.

Contrary to her character, Trina Vega, Danielle is great at acting, singing and dancing. Many fans often argue that during the show, Trina doesn’t seem to be entirely bad at singing, she simply is tone deaf. The reason for this being that she happens to have a great voice. The dedication she gave as an actress to the role of the oldest Vega sister, pretending she wasn’t a good singer and dancer, is all the proof you need to tell what an amazing actress she really is. She also counts with great comedic timing, which resulted often in hilarious moments during the show. Fun fact: she practices boxing and prepares incredible workout routines that she shares through Instagram and YouTube.

She already counts with over 296K subscribers. In this channel, you’ll find vlogs where she features stars from many projects she’s worked on, such as the sitcom Baby Daddy, and even some looks of the sets and behind the scenes. She also has a playlist fully dedicated to her first pregnancy, which is one of everyone’s favorites.

One of her recent projects is the Adulting Like A Mother Father podcast where she’s a host along Andrew Gardner. On this podcast they share tips, anecdotes and commentary on their baby Gio James; giving everyone parenting goals vibes. They use this platform to answer questions and give advice. Showing an inside on their parenting life as a young and successful couple, there is a new episode every Tuesday. She also has the cutest baby related videos on her channel.
It’s crazy to think that someone who I watched growing up, has also grown up as a person and an artist, and I get to see it. There are many other good things we could say about Daniella Monet and I’m sure many more will come. For now, I wish her the best in this new journey that is motherhood with her beautiful baby and cannot wait to see her next project. Kinder Beauty.
