How We Can Survive The Holidays

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Inter SG chapter.

My favorite time of the year is here. The holidays are the time to relax, enjoy some tasty food and spend time with family. Now, we all need those products that will make the holidays even better.

After a rough semester and lots of stress, here are things we all need in our suitcase, to survive the holidays.

Good old’ mascara

Who doesn’t love a good mascara? It’s a lifesaver. Just with a bit of mascara, you will be ready to go. My favorite mascara is Tarte’s lights, camera, lashes mascara™. Honestly, it’s perfect for every day wear or for a nigh out. I am a huge fan of anything natural. It gives you the perfect push up, curls and volume you’re looking for. It will not clump, flake or mess up your lashes. I am obsessed with it. And what makes it even better, it’s vegan!

An eyeshadow palette you can use 24/7

If you are traveling for the holidays and do not want to take your whole make up drawer, then the Tarteist™ PRO Amazonian Clay Palette by Tarte is perfect for you. It has 20 ultra-pigmented shades that are powered by natural ingredients. Beautiful natural products? Yes, please!

Glue

This might sound weird, but it’s a must have. KRAZY Glue singles, yes glue, we never know when something will break. It’s always important to carry some glue. It fixes everything, literally. And if you have kiddos, they are perfect for arts and craft. These are fantastic for one try since there is enough in one single to use once and it won’t go bad.

Hand Cream

Doesn’t matter if it’s hot or cold, you need to moisturize those hands. I am very picky with lotions. I usually don’t like how they feel on my skin. But I found the perfect one and I 100% recommend it. I use the BEING Salted Caramel and Macadamia cream by Sanctuary Spa. It smells so, so, so good. Your hands will be moisturized and have a beautiful scent. They also have another sent that is Cloudberry & Lychee Blossom Hand Cream which is my mother’s favorite.

EYE! CREAM! (not ice cream)

If you will be partying too hard and getting little to none sleep, your eyes will get puffy. This is something I struggle with during holiday beak and school nights. But that was until I recently tried the Alba Botanica® Fast Fix for puffy eyes. It is a cooling eye revive gel that has cucumber, green tea and caffeine to help energize, stimulate and reduce puffiness. It is perfect to ravel too. It’s small and pocket sized. A little tip that really works: put it in the fridge. It’s magical, I promise.

Sassy, cute, comfy clothes

So even when we are on a holiday, we like to look cute but comfortable. It is very relaxing to feel pretty and sassy, at least it is for me. Come on! We all need to have a few sassy tops. Specially if they come from an empowering brand. My favorite T-Shirts right now come the #ActuallySheCan tanks, created in partnership with Le Motto. #ActuallySheCan is an inspiring female empowerment campaign by Allegan and Le Motto, a company that offers cute fashionable and positive handwritten graphics with good words and kind thoughts. I love their Less Drama More Karma dark grey top and the Less Regret More Sweat heather grey top (I still regret having a second plate on thanksgiving, though). These tanks are so sassy and pretty. Also, they are soft, breathable, made of a cotton blend that makes them perfect for active wear or just to chill at home. If you would like to receive a 25% off your Le Motto order (please get something, I promise you will love them), use the code ‘HerCampus’ at checkout.

I believe these are some of the things that can make your holiday better. Some can even make your life on campus better too. They can even work as gifts, got a sister that is a nurse? Get her the Alba Botanica® fast fix for puffy eyes. Have an aunt that likes to do crafts? Get her some KRAZY Glue singles. It’s the little things that matter and all these products are perfect for any holiday.

Happy Holidays!
