The Best Photo-Worthy Spots in Indianapolis

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Indy chapter.

Need to spice up your Instagram? Indiana is possibly the best place to take those photos in any season. While there are many, many places to visit, here are three places you can go to for the best backdrop for your feed!

  1. Monument Circle

Set in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, the Monument Circle is the most popular place for people to take photos. You can get the Soldiers & Sailors Monument in your background when you walk up the steps to the observation deck. If you want a more city feel, the circle is surrounded by beautiful skyscrapers and bustling city streets. There is plenty of seating around when you want the best place for taking photos of the delicious foods you can get.

  1. Cataract Falls

Cataract Falls is a gorgeous place to take pictures. Located an hour southwest of Indianapolis is the largest waterfall in Indiana. The beautiful cascading waterfalls are not the only spot to get those picture perfect views. The scenic environment is amazing in every season with trees and land surrounding the spot. There is even a covered bridge that is perfect for the Spring and Fall seasons!

  1. Indiana Central Canal

One of my favorite places in the city is the Indiana Central Canal. It has the perfect city look with the gorgeous views of different buildings surrounding the waterway. You get the chance to walk around the water or pedal-boat through the canal to get an even better view. Even the sunset makes this place look absolutely stunning with the water and buildings!
