We can always count on our favorite celebrities to discover the hippest trends and fashions. They attend the most glamorous of runway shows, shop at the chicest boutiques and are sent designs to wear from around the globe. It is impossible to flip through style magazines or the fashion blogosphere without seeing icons like Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Victoria and David Beckham or Kate Bosworth. They have it all – fame, beauty success and wealth, but that does not mean they are slowing down anytime soon. These trend gurus that we love to follow have been busy intertwining their personal styles and inspirations to design for the public. Take a peek below to see these celeb’s exciting new fashion projects.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have created an impressive fashion powerhouse by the young age of 24. Their high-end line, The Row, has been slowly and organically growing for the past few years and now appears in 130 stores worldwide. Now in their fifth year, the Olsen’s have begun designing gorgeous and chic handbags for their luxury line. Keep an eye out for their leather, ostrich, lizard and alligator styles being sold at Barneys New York and specialty boutiques starting in July for the fall 2011 season. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen had a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, and they simply stated the reason they began designing handbags was because “we are such bag people.” Naturally! Here are a few of my personal favorites for this upcoming fall!

Another fashion super couple in the public eye is Victoria and David Beckham. They have evolved from pop singer and soccer player duo into international style icons. Victoria has taken her love for clothes and turned herself into a seriously focused designer, and her Spring//Summer 2011 dresses are definitely impressive. Sophisticated and feminine, her line’s bright colors and freely fitting material fits perfectly with the warm weather. At a New York Fashion Week breakfast presentation, Victoria said, “What’s alluring for me are the curves of a woman’s figure – sensual volume and a defined silhouette that allows for freedom of movement.” She has grown immensely as a designer, and it will be exciting to see what she holds in store for the future.

Similar to his fashion-icon wife, David Beckham also has the spirit of an entrepreneur, and according to Women’s Wear Daily, is planning to launch a bodywear line and a new men’s fragrance this year. Beckham’s first branch into branded apparel will be a line of underwear that has been much-anticipated for quite some time. His experience being the face of Emporio Armani has taught him that there is a real market for good-looking, well-made men’s bodywear. Get excited for David’s new fragrance, Homme, out this September!

Another fun project recently brewing involves the style starlet Kate Bosworth. She has paired up with stylist Cher Coulter to create a line of jewelry that can be purchased on their site, Jewel Mint. They both recognized a gap in the market for inexpensive, yet high style jewelry. Where do they find their inspiration? Everywhere and anywhere. In an interview with GapMag, Cher said “I love peering through cabinets in vintage shops; it’s like treasure hunting! Kate and I will also look over previous designer collections and develop ways to reinterpret trends. I recently took a trip to Big Bear and came across these cool beaded bracelets in a little hippie shop.” Kate and Cher both said to look out for their interpretations and new jewelry designs this summer, and most importantly, they want everyone to have fun piling on jewelry and experimenting.
