Now that fall is in full swing, it’s time to break out our sweaters, boots, hats, and pretty much anything pumpkin flavored or scented! Fall is easily one of the best seasons, especially because Halloween and Thanksgiving are right around the corner. However, these next few months do bring cooler weather, and with cooler weather comes dried skin and lips. With tons of different kinds of beauty and skincare products on the market, it can be difficult to find a few that really work for you. That’s why I decided to share some of my favorite products that get me through the changing weather!

For Body:

After testing out many different brands of lotion, Aveeno by far stands out to me as the most effective. Personally, I think that Aveeno is a really reliable product that relives the inevitable tight, dry skin that comes with the colder weather. I keep a bottle of it in my room and use it after showering. It really makes all the difference, even after one use. It is also perfect for sensitive skin because it is made without any harsh chemicals or strong fragrances. Not to mention it is also pretty cheap and is available at many stores around campus, which are both major perks.

For Face:

It’s so common for people’s faces and lips to get particularly irritated during the fall time, especially because unlike the rest of our body, they’re always exposed to the cold air. My go-to face lotions are Olay Regenerist Deep Hydration Regenerating Cream and Neutrogena Hydro Boost. Some of the many benefits from using these products are that they’re lightweight (so they don’t leave your face feeling greasy), they work instantly and last throughout the day, and they offer deep moisturizing for smooth, soft skin.

For Lips:

I have definitely tried tons of lip balms and Chapsticks, and the only one I really stuck with is Glossier’s Balm Dotcom. It’s hydrating, made with natural ingredients and it doesn’t leave my lips drier than they were before (which surprisingly happens with many lip products). The most unique aspect about this product is its fun flavors like rose, mint, and Momofuku-inspired birthday cake. They all genuinely smell good, too! This product is totally worth investing in because it’s multifunctional, as it also works on chapped skin (think cuticles and elbows).

For Nails:

Over are the days of cutesy pastel nail polishes that were popular this summer as fall brings a more edgy, modern vibe in the beauty world. With that being said, my two favorite nail colors for this season are Essie’s Bobbing for Apples and Smith & Cult’s Stockholm Syndrome. They’re both simple, beautiful colors that really match the aesthetic of the latest fall trends this year.
