Best Snacks for the Super Bowl

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois chapter.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!!! I have to be honest unless the Chicago Bears are in the Super Bowl…I don’t really watch the game for football. But, as an advertising major, I do pay very close attention to all of the amazing commercials! Not to mention what most of us wait for…the infamous half time show! Now, let’s talk about the real reason why people get together to watch the most important football game of the year…THE SNACKS. I don’t know about you, but I always love an excuse to eat an abundance of fried, cheesy, and dip-able appetizers with family and friends!

Well, if you’re going to a party tonight and still don’t know what to bring… I can help! Here are my top five favorite snacks you can make for your Super Bowl party.

1. Baguette Pizzas

You can never go wrong with some gourmet pizzas to start off your Super Bowl spread. There are so many ways you can be creative when making these!

2. Creamy Beer Cheese

Every Super Bowl party should have some sort of cheese dip. Whether it’s spicy queso or a creamy beer cheese, melted cheese should be in attendance!

3. Friday Night Loaded Nachos

Nachos are the best! You can’t go wrong with melting cheese on chips and adding tons of fun toppings. Plus they’re easy to make!

4. Honey BBQ Wings

What’s a Super Bowl party without chicken wings! Whether their bone-in or boneless, wings are always a great snack with a ton of flavor.

5. Best Ever Guacamole

Guac goes with everything! A chip, a carrot, celery, a taco, and even just a fork! It’s easy to make a go-to favorite for game day.

Now that you have some ideas… get cooking! Super Bowl Sunday is all about eating great food with the people you love while watching the best teams in the country! Enjoy it and happy eating!
