Nothing is better than being on a college campus…especially UIUC’s campus in the fall. The leaves on the trees begin to change colors and students hustle to class as the warm weather is slowly, but surely, disappearing.
Here are just a few of the great things that happen at the University of Illinois in the fall.
1. The Quad
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is known for it’s beautiful quad that features distinct zig zag cross walks, beautiful buildings, and of course hundreds of trees.
2. Pumpkin Spice Lattes
A pumpkin spice latte is the perfect drink for any UIUC student who is looking for something festive and warm in between running from class to class.
3. The Weather
Being located in Southern Illinois, UIUC takes it’s time transitioning into cool weather, so students are still able to hang out on the quad and spend time outside until winter.
4. Fall Clothes
One of the best parts of fall is the very versatile apparel. You can wear leggings, jeans, boots, sweaters, vests… the options are endless!
5. Homecoming, Football Games, School Spirit!
Every student likes to have a good excuse to go out and have fun with their friends! Halloween is the perfect excuse.
7. The Food
Nothing beats a caramel apple, pumpkin seeds, or candy corn in the fall.
8. Curtis Apple Orchard
Going to the Curtis Apple Orchard is something that a lot of UIUC students like to do in the fall. You can go apple picking, complete a corn maze, and take awesome pictures.
9. Midterms Are Slowing Down
After the hectic time period of having tests and papers in every class, it is finally time to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather that Fall brings!
Even though this sounds basic, Fall is the perfect time to take creative and colorful instagrams with your friends on and off campus!
