You Know You’re a Communication Major When…

Every major has its own items that students can relate to and communication is no exception. Most likely every communication major can relate to one (or all) of the following:

1.  When you silently pray to the COM gods for a good group on your first day of a small group class.

2.  When you hear the joke “I talk good” more than once a week.

3.  When someone asks a simple math question you pull up your calculator.

4.  When you make jokes about saving face at the bars.

5.  When other majors complain about two page papers and you look at them green with envy.

6.  When your first question to someone is, “OMG, what’s your sequence?”

7.  When your interpersonal communication class counts as your therapy for the year.

8.  When the answer to every question asked in class is, “It depends.”

9.  When anyone who is not a COM major says, “What are you going to do with that degree?”

10.  When your response to that question is, “Communicate…”
