After less than a year of marriage, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have officially broken up.If you are anything like me, this may have made you more upset than you’d like to admit. However, being a die hard Miley fan since the Hannah Montana days I cant help but to feel happy for her. Yes, happy! Miley and Liam met when she was seventeen years old and her then compared to her now seem like two completely different people.

Her post break up song, Slide Away, gives us insight into their relationship especially towards its downfall. Her lyric “woke up one day, it had turned to dust baby we were found but now were lost” literally gave me goosebumps. Not only does this lyric reveal the hardship Liam and Miley went through when their Malibu house burned down but also the relationship in general. Miley and Liam’s first official break up left her so heart-broken she was swinging around in a wrecking ball. Her album Bangerz revealed a new Miley that was trying hard to escape the heart-break and at the same time accept the person she really was. When Miley and Liam got back together and married in December of 2018, it seemed nothing short of a fairytale ending. But some things are too good to be true. Although many loved seeing Miley and Liam back together, I couldn’t help but think that it seemed wrong in a way. Miley was a different person than the first time they began dating when she was 17, hence her lyric “move on were not 17 I’m not who I used to be”. After their first break up, Miley really changed and she was not shy about hiding it. Her beliefs, values and personality shifted and I loved watching her evolve to the person she really wanted to be. But not everyone may like the changes you go through and that’s okay because someone will! At the end of it all, were all trying to learn from our past. Miley and Liam just goes to show that something you may have really wanted, might not be what is best for you. At least their marriage still beat Kim Kardashians and Kris Humphries.
