“Jane the Virgin” – not only is it a show, it is one of my addictions. I started watching this show on Netflix after my best friend said to me, “Renata, you HAVE to watch. I’m telling you, you will love it so much!” Well, my best friend is my best friend for a reason – she knows me well. I did fall in love with this show. “Jane the Virgin” is filled with many plot twists and so much drama. The second season ended with one of the biggest cliffhangers I have ever experienced in my television watching experience. SPOILER ALERT: Jane’s newlywed husband, Michael, was shot right before they were about to take their relationship to the next level! While I watched the season premiere, I wrote down the thoughts that crossed my mind, as I waited to see Michael’s fate. Here is my train of thought during the Season 3 premiere:

  • I never thought I would miss hearing this introduction so much. The narrator gives me life. Do you think I could pull off a Spanish accent like he does? No? Yeah, I thought so.
  • MICHAEL! I never thought I would miss his face. Don’t let it fool you though…I am #TeamRafael.
  • ROGELIO DE LA VEGA! I wish my Dad was a cool Telenovela star. Or just famous somehow…Can Rogelio be my Dad?
  • I don’t care if Petra is Anezka or Anezka is Petra. I have never liked either of them, and that probably will not change anytime soon.
  • OKAY EPISODE TIME! IS MICHAEL ALIVE??
  • WAAAAIIIITTT! NO FLASHBACKS!!! IS HE ALIVE!!! COME BACK!!
  • Sam? Who the heck is Sam? But once Sam appeared…Hello, Sam. Come to Mama.
  • Michael’s Mom is not one of my favorite people.
  • Is it bad that I don’t really care what is happening with Xio and Rogelio right now? I just want to know if Michael is okay!
  • Can I reach through my laptop and just give Jane a hug? This girl NEEDS some comfort.
  • Why do bad things happen to good people?
  • I promise, I have patience. But right now – NOPE.
  • “I’m a fighter…” WELL THEN FIGHT MICHAEL!
  • If he is paralyzed… I mean he would still be alive!
  • I don’t care about Petra and her family… just stay at the hospital please. Pretty Please. With cherries and whip cream and sprinkles on top.
  • HE IS OKAY! MICHAEL IS OKAY! OH THANK GOODNESS! I was going to be so mad, if I just spent 42 minutes watching this instead of doing my homework for nothing!

That is all for this week’s “Jane the Virgin” feelings! I cannot wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for all of us fans! – Renata
