Have you ever looked on the back of any beauty product and read the ingredients and wondered, What the heck is all of this? Skincare is so important to our everyday lifestyles. Skincare is a way to help fight against acne, dark spots, aging, and many more things. For me, I have been through hell and back when it comes to trying different products. I have tried many different products to help my acne and have done hours of research. What I have learned through my studies, is that all-natural products are the way to go. Slowly, but surely, I have gotten rid of old products and switched them out for more natural products. Putting too many harsh chemicals on your face is not good for it. It can dry out your skin and even damage it. For us college students, we are on a budget which can hinder us from splurging on nice, expensive products to benefit our skin. Here is a list of natural products you can find at the drugstore.

Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Moisturizer

This product is labeled a 3 on the “Dirty Meter” on Think Dirty. SkinSAFE has reviewed the ingredients of Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Moisturizer, 3 Ounce and found it to be 91% Top Allergen Free and free of Gluten, Nickel, Top Common Allergy Causing Preservatives, Lanolin, Paraben, Topical Antibiotic, MCI/MI, Soy, and Propylene Glycol. Product is Teen Safe” (via the Skin Safe website).

Burt’s Bees

Anything Burt’s Bees is usually pretty natural!

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

This product is labeled a 2 on the “Dirty Meter” on Think Dirty.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, and many other Cetaphil products, are considered “Top Free” according to the Skin Safe website. This means there are not any harsh chemicals that could damage your face or body! SkinSAFE has reviewed the ingredients of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, For All Skin Types, 16 Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3) and found it to be hypoallergenic and free of Fragrance, Gluten, Nickel, Top Common Allergy Causing Preservatives, Lanolin, Soy, MCI/MI, Topical Antibiotic, and Eyelidsafe. Product is Lip Safe.”

Note: Usually the products that are placed around the Burt’s Bees products are mostly natural and healthy for you. If you are ever curious about the chemical or ingredients that are in your products, there are multiple apps and websites that can help you with that and will even color code the ones that are healthy versus not. Think Dirty is a very popular one where you can scan the product’s barcode and it will pop up immediately for you instead of typing out a long name like Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Moisturizer.

ALSO: PLEASE DO NOT PUT PRODUCTS ON YOUR FACE THAT HAVE FRAGRANCE IN THEM! Fragrances can irritate your skin!!

Lots of Love,

Jess
