Rader Family Farms is a fun and little pumpkin patch in the Bloomington-Normal area. They are located on 1312 Ropp Road in Normal. This year it opens on September 7th, and every year they have an event calendar that tells you events for the season. They are usually open on Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am-6pm.

They have an event next weekend September 21-22 called the Ropp Road Round-up Festival. They also have an event called the Chick-Fil-A Flashlight Maze on September 28th and October 19th from 6-9pm. The last event of the season is on October 27th from 6-10pm, and is the Last Lazy Daze Corn Maze. You can find more about the events on Rader Family Farms website.

The website is a great place to go to find out more about the farm. It includes things like a map of the farm, their phone number and email, photos, links to their social media accounts, and their sponsors. The website even tells you about the activities at the farm, the maze, and my favorite part—the food.

One of my favorite food items at Rader are the pumpkin donuts. They have many different pumpkin flavored foods and even some drinks. However, if you don’t like pumpkin drinks that much like me, they also have some amazing apple cider.

I almost forgot the most important information; admission fees. Children ages 2 and under are always free. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday admission cost $8. Saturday, Sunday, and Columbus Day admission is $12. On Wednesday, admission is only $4. Senior Citizens have a discount on weekdays and weekends, with weekdays being $4, and weekends being $6. They even offer a military discount of $4 on weekdays and $6 on weekends. The admission fees gives you access to most of their activities happening the day you go. On the website in the admission fees section they have all of the prices I stated above and many more. They have the prices for the 10+ acre Corn maze which is not included in the original admission fee. They have information on the prices of a combo pass which includes all activities and the corn maze. They also have information about their weekly specials. Finally, they have info about season passes and group events.
