Korky Buchek, Esky, & Bread Club Join Forces for a Dreamy, Disco-Fever Tune, ‘Into We’

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

Korky Buchek is those friends that love to vibe. They will make you get up and dance like there’s no one watching. Tom Elliot and Peter Sabbagh, the Aussie duo, aim to exactly do that — making people enjoy life.

Hailing from the Hills District of Sydney, they have been on the radar since releasing “Could Be U” in 2019 and receiving praise. Recent worldwide circumstances are not slowing them down. The group still has big plans for 2020, including multiple singles and shows (if the situation allows).

“It’s 2020 and Korky Buchek are still seriously underrated! Just cop this track with fellow vibe merchants Esky and Bread Club for proof in the pudding,” as Dave Ruby How of triple j Unearthed says in his review

Korky Buchek and Esky unite for a glittery disco number, “Into We“, featuring Bread Club. The single gives off major 70s vibes, and the music video perfectly accomplishes that.

The music video pays tribute to retro Filipino nightclubs, equipped with dazzling lights and club-goers dressed in disco attire. The overall aesthetic, especially the visuals, will give you a glimpse of what it was like to live through the disco fever era.

“Into We” was ignited by a friend of Korchy Buchek. As the duo explained: “The lyrics were inspired by a friend who found it daunting whenever she entered a dance floor because people had trouble distinguishing their boundaries.”

The song is essentially asking “Are you into we?”, which suggests that it’s only good if we are all good, according to the duo.

Flawlessly, the collaboration happened as Esky joined the group in the studio and then, Bread Club entered at the right time when everyone felt stuck.
