Illinois State offers many opportunities for students and community members. However, the fact that the school is able to bring well-known musicians to perform each year is one of the many reasons ISU is so special.

Every fall a concert is held in Braden Auditorium where students can purchase tickets at a discounted price. Every spring there is a free concert on the quad in which anyone can attend.

Taking a look back on who has performed at ISU in recent years can help students get excited for who is to come in the future! In Oct. 2014, Iggy Azalea gave an outstanding performance in Braden Auditorium. In Nov. 2015, Hunter Hayes made an appearance. Students could purchase tickets for his concert for as low as $22.

The free concerts ISU has to offer is definitely something you will not want to miss. In April 2015, Dan + Shay performed on Illinois State’s quad. Daya, otherwise known as the female voice in The Chainsmokers’ hit “Don’t Let Me Down” made an appearance on campus in the spring of 2016.

Along with many other events throughout each calendar year, University Program Board sponsors these concerts and contributes a great deal in making sure they run smoothly.

Looking ahead, Jeremih is going to be at ISU to perform in Braden Auditorium on Oct. 23 of this year. Tickets are currently for sale at the Bone Student Center Box Office. (students get discounted prices).
