Food Porn: Christine’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

I have a weird obsession with baking chocolate chip cookies. I have become quite the expert if I do say so myself. I’ve made them so many times that I have tweaked the recipe to make it just perfect. People have been asking me for my special recipe for years, so here you go HC readers… Christine’s chocolate chip cookie recipe just for you.

Ingredients:
2 sticks of butter
2 eggs
3 tablespoons vanilla
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 ½ cup flour
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 bag of chocolate chips

Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350

Step 2:
Mix together butter, eggs, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl

Step 3:
Add in sugar and brown sugar and mix again

Step 4:
Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt

Step 5:
Add in chocolate chips

Step 6:
Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes (or until golden brown)

Just a few little tips:
• The more flour you add, the thicker your cookies will be! So if you like them thinner, put a little less flour in. If you like them thick, add a little extra!
• Don’t forget to mix at each step! This is key. Some people prefer to hand mix the dough, but a mixer works just fine for me.
• Eat your amazing cookies right out of the oven
