Co-founders and brothers Jarrod Swanson and Ryan Swanson decided in the midst of their job hunts that they needed an easier search engine that wasn’t cluttered and narrowed down search results better. The two brothers decided to create an app that would do just that.
They named it Dapsity which is derived from the word daps which means “the knocking of fists as a greeting.” So the app is giving daps to jobseekers.
The app is said to be the simplest and most efficient job search app on the market right now. Dapsity was first released on Nov. 25, 2013 and launched with a new update on March 5, 2014.
You can now download the app from the Apple iTunes App Store. The app allows users to connect to both their Facebook and LinkedIn accounts for better and narrowed search results. Swipe right when you want to save a job or internship position, and swipe left if you’re not interested and want the position deleted off your search. Every search is an advanced search so your time is not wasted with jobs that don’t pertain to what you are looking for.
