“COLLIN PAGE” – I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a name that should be written in lights to me; which is actually Collin’s dream. HerCampus Illinois State: Let’s start off with your inspirations. Who or what inspired you to pursue your major?
Collin Page: My high school choir director inspired me to want to become a choral director. He was a great teacher and I want to impact people in the same way that he did.Note: Our high school choir director is an Illinois State alum!
HC ISU: What is your favorite thing about being a part of Acafellaz?
CP: My favorite thing about Acafellaz is making high quality music with a bunch of dudes. Also, due to how much time we spend together in rehearsal we have all become very close.
HC ISU: What has been the biggest transition for you since coming to ISU?
CP: The biggest transition for me has been making time in my schedule to eat. Everything in high school was so routine, so when I came here I was asking myself if I should eat… or sleep.
HC ISU: What was the easiest transition for you?
CP: The easiest transition for me was the school work. Since I was in a lot of A.P. classes in high school the work load between institutions was similar for me.
HC ISU: What is your favorite thing about dorm life?
CP: My favorite thing is living with my best friend. Since we were already friends we didn’t have to adjust and develop that certain level of comfort. It’s also nice because when we get mad at each other we know how to get over it quickly.
HC ISU: Worst thing about dorm life?
CP: Those times when my roommate and I do argue and end up feeling bad about it.
HC ISU: What is the first thing you notice about a girl?
CP: Her eyes and smile.
HC ISU: What are some of the traits or qualities that attract you to a girl?
CP: I’m attracted to girls that are easy to spend time with and like going with the flow. I also like someone that can appreciate my passions, which will hopefully become my career.
HC ISU: What is the cheesiest pick-up line that you have ever used on a girl?
CP: It’s from the movie Hall Pass: ‘Do you know how much a polar bear weighs? Enough to break the ice; how ya doin?
HC ISU: If you could take any celebrity on a date, who would you take and what would you plan?
CP: I would take Emma Stone on a date because it would make me feel like Spider Man; he’s the best. For this date I would obviously prepare Spider Man related things!
HC ISU: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
CP: I would like to go to Italy. Italy seems like a very romantic and fun place to visit!
HC ISU: What is one thing that most people don’t know about you after they first meet you?
CP: If you’re good looking, I’m probably really scared that I’m going to embarrass myself.
