Best and Worst Dressed at The 2015 Golden Globes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

If you’re anything like me, you tune into the award shows to see the gorgeous gowns and handsome men in perfectly tailored suits. This year the Golden Globes did not disappoint. Most celebrities showed up on their A game for the award show. On the other hand, some celebs missed the mark and ended up on my worst dressed list. Here are my 5 best and worst dressed at the 2015 Golden Globes:

Best:

  1. Chrissy TeigenChrissy Teigen is my girl crush; everything about her is perfect and her Golden Globes dress did not disappoint. She strutted down the Red Carpet in a super-embellished, light pink, long sleeve Zuhair Murad gown. The color looked beautiful on her skin tone and her high, curly ponytail perfectly completed the look. With everything added up about her look, she tops my best dress list for the Golden Globes.
  2. Jenna Dewan-TatumThe lucky wife of Channing Tatum walked the Red Carpet in a strapless Carolina Herrera gown. The dress fit like a glove and looked great with her skin tone and hair color.  Absolutely stunning!
  3. Heidi KlumThe always-stunning Heidi Klum wore a beautiful red, one shouldered Versace gown.
  4. Jennifer LopezYou would never know by looking at her that JLo is 45 years old! She wore a Zuhair Murad gown that was complete with a cape and embellished with sequins.
  5.  Kate Becklinsale    Kate looked gorgeous in her sparkling Elie Saab gown.

Worst:

  1.  Lana Del RayLana Del Ray walked the Red Carpet in a mint colored Travilla gown. From the color to the bow around her waist, this look just doesn’t look right on the Red Carper. It looks more like High School Prom dress than anything else. This is why she is my worst dressed of the night.
  2. Lena DunhamLena Dunham’s custom made Zac Posen, red; high-low dress simply did nothing for her. Hopefully at the next award show Lena steps up her game.
  3. Keira KnightleyThis newly pregnant star red carpet gown looked more like a night gown that a custom made dress. The worst aspect of this dress is the butterfly print and matching butterfly bracelet. Nothing about this look was working for Keira Knightley.
  4. Clair DanesAlthough I am all about floral prints, Claire Danes V-neck Valentino dress had way too much going on.
  5. Tina FeyThis funny lady failed to impress in her tea-length Antonio Berardi gown. It was just an awkward length and the poof around the knees was unnecessary. I can’t wait for the next award shows to see what my favorites walk the Red Carpet in next!
