Wondering what all the hype about the new Apricot Lane Boutique in Uptown Normal is about? Read our review and see what writer Christine Guidici think of this chic new store!

The opening of Apricot Lane Boutique is something pretty much every girl on campus has been looking forward to all year. I discovered the Peoria boutique last year and completely fell in love. I would follow their updates on Facebook and stalk them daily to see if any new outfits had been posted. When I found out they were opening a store in Uptown Normal, I was ecstatic. My favorite store was now in walking distance! Apricot Lane has everything from clothes, accessories, purses, jewelry and even shoes. If you’re looking for something different and a little more high end, this is definitely the place to look.

I took a little trip to Apricot Lane this week and was instantly made comfortable. They did an amazing job with picking out their employees. The employees went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable in their store and helped me find everything I needed. They weren’t overly pushy though, which was nice. Sometimes, when I’m shopping, I feel like the employees are always watching me. It kind of creeps me out. At Apricot Lane, the girls working gave you your space to shop and do your own thing, but were still open for any questions you needed answered.

The layout of the store makes everything easy to find. They have their jeans and pants in one section, dresses in another, accessories in another, and so forth. You can find exactly what you’re looking for in a second. It also has that small boutique feel. The decorations and the set up look great. I cannot speak highly enough of Apricot Lane. If you haven’t been there yet, I highly suggest it. The clothes and the service can’t be beat.
