Do you guys like to go to the bookstore? I used to be a person who visited bookstores once every long period of time. However, these days I have started to love visiting bookstores without any purpose of buying or finding specific books. Therefore, I would like to share several reasons why going to a bookstore fascinates me.

Obviously, various types of books are in the bookstores, from literature to academic textbooks. After I began going to bookstores, I started to realize that there is a lot of knowledge to learn from thousands of books. This made me realize that I used to put myself in a small environment with narrow types of topics that pop up on my phone, which I even easily forgot. This can sound so obvious that you can get to see various types of books in a bookstore, but that simple fact opened my eyes. Even though our society is obsessed with phones that share countless information, I realized that actually visiting bookstores and skimming books that interest you will impact and stay in your memory deeply.
Stimulates academic curiosity
Visiting a bookstore and skimming through books I got interested in did not only entertain me but stimulated my academic curiosity. Because each book was made from taking a long time and effort by authors and publishers, it offers you high-quality information and knowledge, in a way that attracts your curiosity. This further made me get interested in books with various academic fields, and even helped me find my interest related to my university studies. For instance, I started to have an interest in Psychology by skimming through some books related to it, so I am planning to take psychology classes next term. Therefore, I strongly believe that visiting a bookstore will help you realize what you are intrigued and passionate about, which could potentially help you decide your future career.
Grow motivationÂ
Getting to know that there are countless books available in this world increased my motivation to develop myself further. Since I realized that I still have a lot of knowledge to gain, I began to get excited to expand my knowledge and skills from reading books. This mindset even influenced my daily lifestyle and perspective, such as in a way to always pursue my academic curiosity and improve myself internally. Therefore, I would say that visiting a bookstore is not only about finding books you want, but even developing your day-to-day mindset.
