Colorful Spring/Summer Essentials to Revamp Your Closet

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at ICU (Japan) chapter.

Last year, I chose to describe the Spring/Summer (s/s) fashion as “colorful”, and this year seems to go in the same direction! This article features the clothes I’ve bought and my “want to buy’s” to style for this colorful s/s season.

WIDE-LEG FULL-LENGTH COLOURED JEANS (bought)

Even recently, we still see the wide-leg style trousers in the front row of the fashion industry. Especially, colorful wide-leg trousers that give your outfits that extra spice and bring the 1970s vibe. I, personally, chose pink this time mainly because pink is my favorite color but you can also try other colors like baby blue in this season.

GINGHAM MINI FLARED TROUSERS (bought)

Multi-color patterns are the talk of this season! And one of the easiest styles you can try is gingham. The green-white gingham trousers are also flared so you can also enjoy the shape. Because it is white-based gingham, it matches with any color, from white shirts to other vivid colors like pink, blue, and yellow. It’s a must-have item to bring some color to your style!

70s dress (want to buy)

This style, with no exception, has to be the most stylish. Many models and other fashionistas enjoy colorful dresses but for beginners, the blue-based dress is the easiest way to get your toes wet!

ASYMMETRIC (want to buy)

Another major style for S/S 2021 is “ASYMMETRY“. ZARA’s asymmetric products are quite sophisticated and have a variety of clothes like t-shirts, dresses, trousers, etc. My want-to-buy asymmetry is the ASYMMETRIC LINEN BLEND SKIRT, which is a half-short-skirt and half-long skirt. The one thing that makes asymmetric clothes stylish is their unique design! That is why, if you want to stand out, this is the right option!
